I didn't like my hat and my hair.And so I looked for new hair in shop.
But i had not money and so i turned and turned to find free objects!
In my real life i always wear jeans; i am not a small woman...perhaps more fat!
I like more my new avatar, because it's like my body.
But i am asking.....this avatar is the real Betta or like Betta would want to be?

Un rossetto e ho fatto crescere i capelli.
Indosso sempre jeans, sportiva ma truccata.
Forse un po' più grassottella.
Con vestiti coloratissimi, tacchi molto alti, un look provocante, mi sarei sentita profondamente a disagio.
Mi muovo meglio negli ambienti, così, riesco a teletrasportami ovunque con più facilità.
Sto prendendo confidenza con lo strumento.
Ma una riflessione sulla nostra identità digitale è d'obbligo.
Ma chi siamo realmente?
Il mio avatar è la Betta reale o come Betta vorrebbe essere?

Ci muoviamo in SL attraverso il nostro avatar, costruiamo il nostro sè digitale usando questo avatar, ci relazioniamo con gli altri ed esploriamo spazi ed ambienti muovendoci , camminando e con la possibilità di sederci....sempre con la nostra rappresentazione da noi stessi costruita.
Non metto il vestito da sera,allora....indosso i miei soliti jeans!

I think the importance is to be more confident with ourselves and to let our interactions be more stimulating in order to find the way to costruct real knowledge. I think your new avatar is very nice.

how do you feel with your digital identity? Dou you think it can affect the relations with your students?
I think appearance is not so important in my relatioship with other avatars but I don't think It would be the same with my students. A "different" teacher would mean a different dimension and a different approach to the classes and to the other students as well. In this way I think it can facilitate the learning process...Students feel more free in SL to the teacher and their friends too.
Others things the importance of the avatar is relative....What do you think?
Another question for you: do you feel more comfortable with your new avatar? I think feeling happy, in your body, also makes part of your involvement in your second life. The same could happen with my students…. Couldn't it?
I think that in Second Life individual imaginary show it through l´avatar, that is the virtual representation of people participate in the game...
